Random Thoughts on Various Cases

Yellow.

When I was a kid, I used to pretend I was a Bioman member. You know that Japanese kids show where the bidas shout prominent color then their respective number? I was 'yellow four' or sometimes, 'red one' being that I liked to be the leader of the gang. Eventually my infatuation with the color faded away when Cory Aquino stepped in and her bleep son, followed her footsteps (without conceivably doing any note worthy). Pardon my harshness towards the guy, but I just personally do not like him that much. And so was the color.

But this time of year, there is a wind of change. Change. It would be nice to see a whisk of change in various places, including at my university.

Yes. Change. When would we know if it works if we would not give 'it' a chance, eh? Savvy?

Deep thought on Johnny Depp

The first time I watched Pirates of Caribbean, I squirmed. It was not because of the actor nor the story line or even the effects. Just that I bought a pretty bad pirated (heh, get it lol) copy of the movie, that everything was rather dim and audio, quite horrible.

Two nights ago, my husband and I watched it (as part of our movie 'night in house' date). Being that I saw the movie long time ago would have given me the license to fall asleep. But nay. The downloaded copy was too good and crisp on a big screen, I watched it intently.

The next night, we watched the sequel and the following, the latest. Johnny Depp's performance was excellent and very entertaining. I was to have watched them all.

Savvy.

Bourne to listen this.

Who is fed up of Bourne? A couple of has gone by but still people have this tremendous desire to watch the latest series of the film. I am too, since part of it was shot at my school.

Anyways, my husband liked (not so much though) all of Bourne movies plus their songs.

Here's one (which I used a part of my AVP for History Department).

The idiot and Bad teacher

Does anybody know anyone who has that power trip attitude? or people making fun of stupid people? Can you identify yourself as an individual who would do what it takes to be promoted and risk everything else?

Last night my husband and I did another round of movie date. Right before we watched Steve Carrell's movie (Dinner for Schmucks), we graced our time with this 70s sort of film, "Dazed and confused." The title says it all-- leaving the audience literally dazed and confused about teenagers having explosive destructive genes. My husband commented that the director lost touch that 70s touch. Quoting him, "nobody in the 70s wore signature shirts."

Did high school male students receive a swat on the butt after they graduate elementary? I asked him.

"Non. To see anyone with a paddle right in the street is to invite police arrest."

Should you become interested about this film, I BEG YOU, move on down to the next title you have in your list. Save yourself from confusion and boredom.

Alright, as I was saying earlier, perhaps a handful of individuals would risk everything to be promoted. That was what Paul Rudd had planned. He worked in this big corporation about to sink in a hole. A previous senior officer was kicked off from his post for lack of better contribution. This gave Paul the opportunity to ascend by joining the meeting of executives and emboldened himself with a superfluous idea. The CEO (I forgot his name) caught on with Paul's idea and soon afterwards, he invited the former to a dinner (for schmucks).

There was a catch however with dinner party, Paul was told by one of the senior colleague to bring a schmuck and should not tell anyone about it.

Will do it? or not?

"Everything happens for a reason." (one of the quotes from the movie)

Yes, everything happened for a reason. While Paul was driving for home to see his girlfriend, he ran over a guy (yes, the schmuck) who unconsciously was crossing down the street. Barry (played by Steve Carrell) was apologetic with what has happened. He asked Paul how much the former has to pay the latter. Confused? That was what Paul. Suddenly, something had sunk in Paul's mind--- that right before him was a --- SCHMUCK!!

I personally liked the movie. Both me and my hubby thought that finally Steve had done an effortless good job.

If you want to be entertained and really feel for the characters, this is one of the good movies to watch!

I have had moments when I was a bad teacher. I have yelled at students before and threw their class cards out by the window (okay, that was a little bit of an exaggeration hehe). But then again, you would have to come and realize that there are OTHERS who have done much worse than what I had. Literally worse.

Speaking of worse, Cameron Diaz encapsulated that negative instructor in "Bad teacher." She was the antithesis of what students expected from a teacher. She is blonde, sexy, attractive and desperate (to settle to a rich man).

Now she got in as a high school teacher is beyond me.

I thought at first the film would be boring. Justin Timberlake was in it and to me that's an indication the movie is ready to sink down the drain. As it turned out, it wasn't.

I shan't tell anything more other than, this is a good film too.

Tee hee. Peace.

Those were the days my friend

My husband and I decided to take LRT the other day. Our destination was a nearby mall where we can buy fresh items. It was late in the afternoon and as expected, the train was a little bit packed. As soon as it stopped, instead of letting the passengers alight, the passengers waiting outside began to rush in as though there was no tomorrow. They immediately slumped their huge rears flat on the benches. They have seem to have forgotten to let the passengers in the train get off first or at least be considerate to old people, handicapped and even pregnant women. If there is any strain left of chevalier attitude, it certainly could be present to only a handful of individuals. Those were the days my friend.
