Big congratulations to the PUP Department of History and PUP Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral ng Kasaysayan for a very successful photo walk activity. Kudos! It was a great learning experience not only for students but to us (teachers) as well. I look forward for yet another series with you guys, sirs and mam. Who knows, our next stop would be up north or down south. Cheers!

Our activity held last January 25 was met by quite a lot of surprises. I was met by a group of students huddled around the fountain early in the morning. Few meters away was Jordy, PUPSMK president and Jeriece, the treasurer. Next to them were clusters of policemen in different shades of blue and grey (black actually). It was as though Borne movie was being shot right where we were at. They were probably around 15 policemen and 10 SWAT officers. It was a little bit intimidating but right there it dawned on me the weight of this activity. (please excuse my being randomness).
Dressed in black shirts (both students and faculty members), the bystanders must have thought we were on strike or lamenting over the loss of someone imminent to our organization. Regardless of what, I felt secured. We felt secured.
Much thanks to you guys (the policemen) for accommodating our request!

My aim is to finish reading a book at least a day. I decided to read Ambeth's book, Rizal without the overcoat since his stlye of writing wasn't too difficult to read (not that I am being too lazy). I chanced upon a chapter of his book about Kapitan Tiago's house in Binondo! We may have missed the information but certainly not the place!
